LiveBetter provides support and assistance to allow people with mental illness to access the necessary services to allow them to live a better life. 

LiveBetter provides a range of services to people with a mental illness through a number of different programs.   We endeavour to assist you in accessing the services that you require.  The programs that fund these services include:


  • Support for Day to Day Living in the Community;

  • Partners in Recovery;

  • Housing and Support Program (HASP);

  • Brokerage or self funded;

  • Your Life Your Choice;

  • Disability Services.


When you contact LiveBetter, we will assist you to find the most suitable arrangement for your particular circumstances, including referral to other agencies if necessary.  You will find that our Intake Officers are keen to assist you and will help you through the process.


There are many services that LiveBetter provide to help meet your specific needs. Depending on your needs and the level of funding, we will endeavour to provide the support you are seeking to allow you to live your best life. Our mental health services include:

  • Day to Day Living Centre –This is a structured day program that incorporates social activities with programs aimed at increasing community participation. Programs assist participants to develop social networks, maintain or develop day to day living skills, participate in community activities, improve self esteem and self confidence and accomplish personal goals.
  • Facilitated access to a range of services and support networks through Partners in Recovery;
  • Assistance with activities of day to day living and community connectedness through various funded programs –Clients may be assisted with day to day living tasks, support to access the community and social support services.

As of 1 January 2021 LiveBetter will no longer be the lead agency for headspace Rockhampton. The new lead agency, Roseberry Community Services Qld, will oversee client care, management, and day-to-day operations of this centre. If you have been or are a current client there will be no change to the service you will receive, your service will continue as usual. Visit the headspace website for more information.
