Rosina (Rosie) Laing, originally from Ingham, moved her family to Gladstone in 1984. Rosie has been an active member of the community ever since, volunteering on the QASC (Yaralla Sports Club) committee for the local soccer representative team and participating in local pool (8-ball), ten-pin bowling and darts competitions.
Rosie completed a Diploma of Natural Resource Management and Bachelor of Arts (Performing Arts) in Geelong and worked as a Teacher Aide at Gladstone South State School from 2007-2014. Rosie also volunteered in the tuckshop during 2018.
Rosie’s hobbies include knitting, crochet, crosswords, find-a-words, watching The Bold and the Beautiful, playing uno or scrabble, and reading. She has several favourite books including Game of Thrones, Lord of the Rings, all Roald Dahl books, and can read a whole Isla Fisher book in one day! When out on the town, you could find Rosie at one of the many Karaoke bars around town singing up a storm!
Rosie’s bucket list consisted of going to Hawaii, seeing the Ballet in theatre and going on a cruise. She completed her bucket list in 2017 when she took her Granddaughter to see the Ballet here in Gladstone. Rosie and her family went on a holiday to Hawaii in December 2014 where she had an awesome time. She fulfilled her wish to go on a cruise not once, but twice, each time spending 7 days travelling from Brisbane up to Willis Island and back!
Rosie remains active by attending social events within Gladstone and in neighbouring towns and loves spending time with her family.
Welcome to the LiveBetter family Rosina!
